Client : Defense Health Agency (DHA)

SOW: HGS provided design, development, and implementation support to the Program Executive Office (PEO) Defense Health Management Systems (DHMS)/Program Management Office, Defense Medical Information Exchange (PMO DMIX) Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV) solution. Further, HGS provided expert Information Systems technical support, as well as, programming expertise to advance and expand on the existing capabilities within the JLV and to sustain the JLV system. To ensure the readiness of our fighting forces, the Department of Defense (DoD) requires a complete picture of beneficiary medical history. While beneficiaries receive medical care primarily from DoD, they can also receive care from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and private sector medical facilities, all of which maintain separate medical records documenting care in paper and electronic formats. Consequently, a need exists to improve data sharing among DoD, VA and private healthcare partners and expose all of this data so that healthcare providers can view a patient's comprehensive health history via a single data display (viewer) that draws from multiple health record sources. The Joint Legacy Viewer (JLV) is a tool that helps meet this need. JLV is already deployed across the DoD medical enterprise and is helping improve the quality of patient care.
